Our aim is to increase access to Further Education colleges for young people with autism so they can continue learning beyond 19 if they so choose. We can develop individualised and bespoke services to enable young adults with autism attend college and achieve their goals. This includes:

  • Assessments on individual pupils
  • A full Functional Assessment of Behaviours that Challenge
  • A written report outlining recommendations and guidance
  • A comprehensive Positive Behaviour Support Plan
  • Ongoing training, feedback and guidance on implementing support plans
  • Hosting Person Centered Planning meetings
  • Support with transition
  • Support with setting short, medium, and long term goals
  • Writing developmentally appropriate functional programmes to support meeting targets 
  • Writing programmes to develop leisure interests and increase community access
  • Providing regular written reports to demonstrate progress and success
  • Key working to ensure a consistent approach across college, family, and other services
  • Planning for withdrawal and discharge upon agreement of all stakeholders involved
